The Shimano Pro components are lightweight and look incredible with some cool patterns done with differently textured surfaces along with great looking graphics. The lock-on grips are the nicest I’ve ever seen. They have a wide grip area that is of a medium diameter with a micro diamond grip surface that provides a very secure connection between your hands and the bars. The lock on clamps are extremely secure and exhibit no twisting or play when installed. The clamps on the ends of the grips also double as great looking bar ends. The bars are 685mm wide which may be a little narrow for the DHers out there who are getting used to the new wide bar movement but I find them to be just about perfect for FR/DH duty. The 685mm width is a bit wider than shoulder width for me, wide enough for good leverage yet narrow enough to save your knuckles when flying down some narrow singletrack that’s flanked by trees. The stem shares the graphics scheme of the bars; it’s light, strong and stiff. This is some great looking high-end gear.
